Untruths Regarding Dogs That You Thought Were Real 

While the majority of these urban legends are well-intentioned, they could endanger your beloved pets.  

First, the age-old urban legend about the proverbial "old dog" that can learn new tricks. 

The natural capacity to learn never leaves a dog, regardless of their age, albeit they may take a bit longer to pick up new tricks than puppies.  

It only requires a bit more patience, which is something that many people struggle with.

There is some truth to this, however there is more to a dog's tail wag than only greeting you with enthusiasm. 

Aside from joy, other feelings conveyed by wagging the tail include fear, surrender, and a sense of being threatened.  

Standing tall and motionless while wagging its tail indicates that the dog may be violent toward you if you encounter one.
