Improved work and home placement with dog personality algorithm

Dog behavior and AI experts made a breakthrough. The researchers developed an algorithm to transform working dog personality rating.

This novel method helps dog training groups quickly assess pups' eligibility for law enforcement and disability assistance.

This technique may also improve shelter dog-human compatibility, reducing the number of animals returned owing to bad matches.

The University of East London and the University of Pennsylvania conducted "An Artificial Intelligence Approach To Predicting Personality Types In Dogs" for Dogvatar, a Miami-based canine technology company.

The AI program learned to classify canine personalities from roughly 8,000 C-BARQ responses.

For almost 20 years, the 100-question C-BARQ has been the standard for evaluating working dogs.

However, the AI's goal is to improve this process by accounting for subjective survey replies.
