Dogs' Genuine Dislikes for Their Owners 

While it may be cute to talk to dogs in a high voice, doing so can frighten or confuse them. 

Consistent, calm, and easy-to-understand directions work better with dogs.  

If they respond positively to high-pitched sounds, then employ them as positive reinforcements; otherwise, speak in a normal tone. 

For dogs, making direct eye contact could be intimidating.

As a result, some canines may be able to handle this treatment from their owners without showing any signs of discomfort or aggression.  

Instead of staring at your dog intently for long periods of time, try looking at him with kind, relaxed eyes.
