A few days before Christmas last year, a builder abseiling from a 12th-floor apartment in Tottenham,
north London, contacted the police after seeing a terrified dog.
The six-month-old, now called Stella, was critically undernourished and required emergency veterinarian care.
According to the medical staff, her prognosis might have been much worse if she hadn't been discovered.
In preparation for Stella's adoption, PC Allen and Det Con Jade Peirce have taken her in as foster parents for the past nine months.
She was still very underweight when we got her, but Det Con Peirce was pleased to hear that
she has been receiving the "princess treatment" and gaining weight.
