An wounded puppy was recovered by Oklahoma sheriff's officers after nearly a week on train tracks.
Wagoner County Sheriff's Office released video of the incident Wednesday.
The department said deputies received a call about the injured dog on Mar. 27."Deputy Hutton observed that a large dog had been hit by a train and was stuck between the railroad tracks," the office posted on Facebook.
The authorities got the dog to their car in under a minute. The pet was reunited with its family and treated at a local vet.
It was discovered that the animal had been injured by a train three days prior to being located and could not free itself," the sheriff stated.
The Sheriff’s Office was pleased that the dog was located and hopes for a full recovery for the injured canine.
The officers were praised on Facebook for their bravery. "These guys do it all," local wrote. "Best sheriff, deputies, K9s, and tech. The best."
